Dacia Gallery invites emerging and established artists to submit artwork for an opportunity to have a Month-Long Solo Exhibition this summer. We are looking for new talented artists to exhibit and to possibly represent as well. The gallery will advertise and promote the selected artist for the exhibition and host a formal Opening Reception for the exhibit, including an Artist Talk during the opening reception. 

10 Artists will be chosen as finalists for the solo exhibition, they will be announced on the website after the entry deadline, one out of the ten artists will be awarded the solo exhibition. The remaining nine finalists will also be considered for upcoming solo exhibitions in the fall and for group shows as well.

We are actively searching for new talented artists in all media and styles for the upcoming exhibition season. If you are looking for gallery representation and to have a Solo Show in New York City, submit your art that we may discover your compelling work and present it to the public, gallery directors, curators and collectors.

As part of our mission to support the visual arts community, we operate the Richeson School of Art & Gallery and have created the Richeson75 International Art Competitions. The Richeson75 Competitions are meant to offer a venue in which established and emerging artists may show their latest, best work to a wide and appreciative audience. The 75 finalists for each regular contest will exhibit their work in our beautiful Richeson Gallery and in the Online exhibit. The newly created Richeson75 ONLINE competitions also reach a wide audience with Online exhibits of the 75 finalists' work. All Richeson75 competitions are capped off with the publication of a collectible, limited edition full-color, hardcover exhibit book: These books include work of the finalists, and also feature other meritorious entries from the competition. Richeson's underwrites large cash prizes for Best-In-Show and generous prizes of Richeson art studio furniture and materials for each contest cycle.

Eligibility: The Richeson 75 Competitions are open to all artists over age 18. All work entered must be original in concept/execution and have been created since January 1, 2010. No work done in a class, workshop or under supervision is eligible. Work shown previously at Richeson School of Art and Gallery are not accepted. Employees of Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. are not eligible for the exhibit. An artist IS eligible for a prize in each media entered/juried in, but may only win one prize in each category. Winners of any Richeson 75 Best In Show award are ineligible for awards for 2 years period following that win.

Best In Show - $5,000 cash
First Place in each category will receive a $1,000 certificate for art materials from Jack Richeson & Co., Inc.
Second Place Award in each category will receive a $500 certificate for art materials from Jack Richeson & Co.,

The two categories for entry are:

Finalists will be selected and invited to participate in the exhibit at the Richeson Gallery in Kimberly, Wisconsin from October 8 - December 7, 2012. Only work actually exhibited in the Richeson 75: Figure / Portrait 2012 show will be eligible for an award. Awards will be presented at the Opening Reception. Your Space Photography Contest

Your Space is our photo competition aimed at celebrating your favourite green spaces, and people enjoying them something that we believe Octavia would have definitely encouraged.
The competition includes all green space in the UK, not just National Trust places, and hopes to capture images of everyday green places.
These could include pictures from the local park, where people play with their kids or walk their dogs, or favourite strolls in the countryside. What is important is that the images capture what these places mean to you, the photographers, and why they matter.

Prizes: The winner will spend a bespoke day with top landscape photographer, Charlie Waite, plus a two night stay in a National Trust holiday cottage. The three runners up, will each spend a day with Charlie at one of our places, complete with lunch and a behind the scenes tour – a prize fund of over £1,500.

There are four categories: 10 & under, 11 to 16, over 16 and one for pictures taken on your smartphone.

Entrants will retain copyright and moral rights in their submitted images however, by entering, all entrants: (a) grant the National Trust non-exclusive rights to use the images to promote the competition the images were submitted to or for similar future competitions within a five year period of the winners of the competition being announced; (b) agree that the use referred to at Clause 11(a) above may include publishing, displaying or otherwise reproducing the images (whether on the internet, in the National Trust Magazine, in exhibitions or otherwise) provided such use is for the purposes of promoting the competition or similar future competitions only; and (c) agree that the National Trust may contact them using the contact details they provide to discuss potential use of the images beyond promotion of the competition. CHILDREN with CANCER UK are pleased to announce our first photo competition to help the fight against childhood cancer.

The theme is simply ‘Childhood’. Your photo could be a special occasion or anything that reminds you of your own childhood.

Eligibility: There are two categories: children (aged 16 years or under*) and adults (aged 17 years or over).

Entry Fee: To help raise vital funds for our life-saving work, we are asking for a minimum donation of £5 for each child’s entry and £10 for each adult’s entry.

Prizes: There will be one winner and five runners up for both child and adult categories. The two lucky category winners (child and adult) will enjoy a day on a big cat photo shoot in Hertfordshire (worth nearly £200) and a £50 Jessops voucher. Eligibility: All international artists, professional and amateur and all art mediums will be considered in this call for entries from photography, wall sculpture, fabric, mixed media, all paintings and drawings including, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, etc. It must be able to be hung on a wall to be considered. The Italian Cultural Association MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art), in collaboration with Arte Laguna, organizes the Seventh Edition of the International Art Prize “Arte Laguna”, aimed at promoting and enhancing contemporary art. The total value of the Prize is 170.000 Euros.

The Prize is open to all Artists, without any limit of age, sex, nationality or other qualifications. Each artist can participate with one or more artworks, in one or more sections. Technical details:
Painting
Sculpture and installation
Photographic Art – color and b/w analog photos, color and b/w digital photos, color and b/w digital elaborations, works created on the computer. The maximum size allowed for each work is 175 cm per side.
Video Art and Animation – videos, films and works made with all the animation techniques on any digital and analog support. Works must last 15 minutes at most, opening titles and closing credits included. For the final exhibition artists have to send the original works saved on DVD in high quality and in formats compatible with the mostly used reading systems.
